About The Broadway Bach Ensemble
We are a New York City community orchestra comprised of seasoned musicians from many walks of life, performing music from the baroque era to the twenty-first century. What’s different about us is:
- We alternate playing assignments in all sections, so for example all violinists have the chance to play both 1st and 2nd violin;
- We alternate section leaders as well;
- We concentrate our schedule of five rehearsals over a two-week period prior to each concert, rather than meeting every week throughout the year.
